Who would guess that these cute little earrings were made out of a plastic bag from the NY Times paper?

They're made by twisting the bag into a spiral while stitching it into place with a strong, clear, nylon thread. The vintage glass beads used to accent these are recycled from vintage jewelry.

All of the plastic bags and wrappers are thoroughly washed before use.

These earrings are approximately 1 3/4" long including the hooks. The diameter is 7/8". The hooks are silver plated.
